Her journey began at a private practice, for children with cochlear implants and hearing difficulties, where Kenya honed her skills in supporting young learners. Here, she facilitated a nurturing environment conducive to language development and communication skills enhancement. In her role, Kenya excels in performing comprehensive speech and language evaluations, meticulously analyzing data, and proficiently documenting her findings. She is adept at crafting Individualized Education Program (IEP) objectives and goals tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring personalized and effective intervention strategies.
Alejandra is a seasoned speech-language pathologist with a passion for empowering individuals through effective communication. With 8 years of experience, she holds credentials from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the State of Georgia as a bilingual (English and Spanish) speech-language pathologist. Alejandra's journey in the field began with a solid foundation, earning her bachelor's and master's degrees in speech pathology from Calvin College in 2014 and 2015, respectively. Equipped with a strong academic background, she embarked on a fulfilling career path dedicated to serving diverse populations. Her areas of specialization include speech and language evaluation, treatment, and home exercise programs conducted seamlessly in both Spanish and English. Alejandra excels in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) evaluations and implementation, ensuring that individuals with complex communication needs have access to effective tools and strategies to express themselves. She is also proficient in conducting comprehensive evaluations and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students across the developmental spectrum, from early childhood to high school, with mild to severe articulation, expressive and receptive language deficits or delays.
